Awarded Febraury 2024

At the Southeastern Journalism Conference, I won third place in the on-site news writing competition. We had 2.5 hours to attend a press conference with Troy University's police chief, track down live sources and write a 500-600 word article. 

Each semester since Fall 2022, I have been on the Dean's List for my grades.

I recieved this scholarship because of my GPA and writing samples from MTSU Sidelines.

The late Nashville Scene editor's wife chose me to recieve the Jim Ridley Memorial Scholarship because of my GPA, involvement with the School of Journalism and Strategic Media, and my essay about my passion for freedom of the press.
